Solar generation traditionally accounts for the largest share of new installations. In the first half of the year, residential consumers connected 2,728 solar power installations, while corporate clients added another 11 commercial solar power plants.
At the same time, commercial enterprises continue to deploy distributed generation assets:

14 gas-piston, gas-turbine, and combined heat and power (cogeneration) units;

5 energy storage systems (ESS).
This year, DTEK Grids DSOs connected a hybrid system combining a solar power installation and a cogeneration unit for the first time. Such technical solutions allow operators to combine different generation sources based on weather patterns and operational parameters, significantly enhancing the owner's energy independence.
In addition, 106 residential and 109 corporate consumers secured active consumer (prosumer) status during the first half of the year, enabling them to feed and sell surplus electricity back to the grid under the feed-in tariff or the self-generation mechanism.
"In the first six months of this year, the volume of green and distributed generation connected to our networks has already exceeded the total figure for the entirety of 2024 and outpaced the connection rates recorded in 2025. This underscores our customers' growing commitment to securing their own energy resilience.
