DTEK Renewables International launches second 60 MW Glodeni II SPP in Romania

According to his report, this brings DRI's renewable energy portfolio in Romania to 173 MW: in addition to Glodeni II, it includes Glodeni I with a capacity of 53 MW, as well as the 60 MW wind farm, the first to be built in the country in the last ten years and commissioned in 2023.
DTEK clarified that DRI will sell 62% of the electricity produced by Glodeni I and Glodeni II to OMV Petrom S.A., the largest integrated energy producer in Southeastern Europe, as part of Romania's largest physical solar power purchase agreement (PPA) signed last December.
DRI is also open to further discussions with potential offtakers on how to become its renewable energy partner, the statement said.

He added that DRI is pleased to contribute to the Romanian government's ambitious renewable energy goals and is fast becoming one of the main investors in the country, where it is about to start construction of a third 126 MW solar park in the Bucharest region.
DTEK summarised that the total portfolio of DRI's renewable energy projects in its priority markets – both operating and at various stages of development and construction – amounts to 1.4 GW.
