This was reported by the national power grid operator, NEK Ukrenergo.
Consequences of Shelling
As of this morning, hostile attacks have resulted in new blackouts in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.
Emergency repair works have already commenced wherever the security situation permits. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore the damaged equipment as quickly as possible.
Consumption Dynamics and Recommendations
Today, July 23, as of 09:30, the level of electricity consumption was on par with the same period of the previous day.
Yesterday, July 22, the daily peak consumption recorded in the evening was 2.8% lower than the peak on Tuesday, July 21. The primary driver behind the reduced load was a drop in air temperature across Ukraine, leading to lower air conditioner usage among consumers.
Nevertheless, energy experts advise shifting the use of high-power electrical appliances to the daytime — from 10:00 to 16:00 — during the peak efficiency hours of industrial solar power plants.
The status of the power system remains fluid and subject to change, so consumers are advised to monitor official updates.
