On May 28, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) adopted a decision recognizing that Ukrimpexbud LLC and Syntezinjiniring LLC engaged in anti-competitive concerted practices during their participation in three tenders. This was reported by the AMCU press service.

The Committee specified that the tenders were conducted in 2024 by the joint-stock company Ukrnafta for the procurement of chemical products—specifically, a corrosion inhibitor for highly mineralized water-oil environments. The expected value of the three tenders exceeded UAH 53 million.

During the investigation, the Committee uncovered circumstances indicating joint preparation by the defendants for the tenders, coordinated behavior during the bidding process, and a unity of their economic interests, which confirms that the companies engaged in anti-competitive concerted actions.

For the collusion, the Committee fined Ukrimpexbud LLC and Syntezinjiniring LLC a total of UAH 3,202,453.00.

As previously reported, the AMCU fined the joint venture Optima-Pharm, LTD LLC over UAH 7 million for an information disclosure violation.
