According to energy officials, on Monday, August 10, as of 09:30, power consumption was 16.7% lower than at the same time on the previous business day (Friday). The primary factors behind this change are cooler temperatures compared to last week and clear weather across most regions, enabling household solar power plants to meet local demand without drawing from the main grid.
The daily peak consumption for Sunday, August 9, recorded in the evening, was 4.5% lower than on Sunday, August 2.
Given the favorable weather conditions, specialists recommend shifting energy-intensive appliance use to the peak operating window for industrial solar power plants—between 10:00 and 16:00.
The situation in the power system remains challenging due to hostile attacks. Russian shelling caused new outages as of this morning in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy oblasts.
Emergency repair work continues in Odesa Oblast, which survived a massive missile and drone attack on Sunday night alongside further strikes over the past 24 hours. While a large portion of consumers in the region has already been re-energized, residents are asked to practice energy conservation to prevent overloading damaged infrastructure.
