Consequences of Shelling
Following Russian drone attacks and artillery strikes, new power outages were recorded this morning in Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions. Emergency repair crews are conducting restoration work wherever security conditions permit.
Consumption Trends
Today, September 11, as of 09:30, electricity consumption was 6.3% higher compared to the same time on the previous day. The primary driver is overcast weather across parts of western Ukraine, which has reduced generation from household solar power installations and led to increased off-take from the national grid.
On September 10, the daily peak demand occurred in the evening, exceeding the previous day's peak by 1.3% due to higher temperatures and increased air conditioner usage.
Given overall grid conditions and industrial solar generation profiles, the optimal window for using high-power electrical appliances is between 10:00 and 16:00.
