On the morning of August 7, consumption figures were 3.2% higher than at the same time on the previous day. The evening peak recorded the day before had also risen by 1.3% compared to Wednesday's metrics.
In addition, severe weather conditions—including thunderstorms and high winds—left 118 settlements fully or partially without power across seven regions: Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy. Regional power grid repair crews are currently restoring damaged power lines.
Restoration efforts following enemy shelling are also underway. Russian attacks caused new power outages on the morning of August 7 in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions. Energy workers are conducting emergency repairs wherever safety conditions permit to restore power as quickly as possible.
Due to the heavy load on the grid, consumers are strongly encouraged to conserve electricity between 10:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Power operators ask the public to defer the use of energy-intensive appliances—such as washing machines, water heaters, and dishwashers—to nighttime hours. As system conditions may change, residents are advised to monitor official updates from their local distribution system operators.
