Government Support and Funding
The state continues to provide the capital with all the necessary resources and tools for the proper preparation of its infrastructure:
-
Direct Funding: Nearly UAH 4 billion has already been allocated from the state budget's reserve fund.
-
Co-financing: Funding for 50% of the required measures has been secured.
-
Direct Assistance: Part of the restoration and preparation work is being directly carried out by the State Agency for Restoration.
-
Support for Residents: Special programs have been introduced to install individual and backup power sources in multi-apartment buildings.
Kyiv holds the largest budget among all Ukrainian cities and receives full support from the central government, providing every opportunity to eliminate risks in a timely manner.
Meeting Outcomes and Next Steps
Following a special meeting with the Mayor of Kyiv, a concrete list of urgent measures and strict deadlines for their execution was established.
The clear objective for the city authorities is to swiftly eliminate the backlog and ensure the capital is prepared well in advance for any challenges of the upcoming autumn-winter period. Ensuring Kyiv's readiness for winter remains a top priority that demands the ultimate concentration of efforts from municipal services.
