Ukraine's GTS Operator LLC has received confirmation of guaranteed daily supplies of 42 million cubic metres of gas from Slovakia by the end of winter 2026, the company's CEO Dmytro Lyppa said at the DiXi Group's Energy Security Dialogue-2024 held in Kyiv on Wednesday.

"I have just received confirmation from the Slovak operator (Eustream a.s. – IF-U) of the guaranteed capacity of 42 million cubic metres per day, which is the volume they had previously confirmed to us temporarily. Now we have received this confirmation until the end of winter 2026," he stated.
According to D. Lyppa, Ukraine has thus gained mainline access to gas generated in Germany, the Baltic Sea basin, and other sources.
"This means that Ukraine can provide itself with gas if it is needed," the CEO emphasised.
In addition, GTSOU is at the final stage of negotiations with Gaz System S.A., the Polish GTS operator, to ensure guaranteed gas supply capacity from Poland.
"At the moment, there is only intermittent capacity from Poland, which means that we cannot guarantee you gas supplies from Poland... We are at the final stage. I think that next week we will be able to comment on this issue," D. Lyppa said.
