Moldova is provided with sufficient electricity, the press service of the state-owned Energocom company reports.

According to the report, over the past day, the shortage of domestically produced electricity was fully covered by the signed contract with Romania, without the need for emergency purchases during peak hours.
As a result, on January 1-2, local thermal power plants generated more than 37% of the required electricity, and renewable energy sources generated more than 12%. The missing electricity, amounting to almost 50%, was imported from Romania.
