According to him, amendments have been made to the government Resolution No. 483 of June 5, 2019, on special obligations of electricity market participants to ensure public interests in the process of its functioning. Thus, Ukrinterenergo will perform the functions of the supplier of last resort public until December 31, 2025.
Ukrinterenergo has been acting as the SoLR in the electricity market since January 1, 2019, and was appointed by the Government on a non-competitive basis. Its functions as a SoLR have been prolonged several times.

The SFTC Ukrinterenergo’s scope of key activities includes: project management in the field of power industry; electricity and thermal power generation; export and import of electricity; electricity transit provision through the power grid of Ukraine, supply of electricity to consumers; ensuring export of Ukrainian power industry products and transit of electricity; attracting modern technologies and equipment to Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the powers of the State Foreign Trade Company Ukrinterenergo as the supplier of last resort (SoLR) in the retail electricity market until the end of 2025, Energoreforma reports. This was announced by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Taras Melnychuk on his Telegram channel on December 10.
