ARMA transfers Lviv Insulator Plant to Ukrenergo's management

It is noted that the transfer of Lviv Insulator Company LLC to the management of the NPC Ukrenergo was carried out pursuant to an order of the Government of Ukraine using the mechanism provided for in Article 21-1 of the ARMA Law, which allows the transfer of objects important to the state to management under a special procedure.
This exceptional procedure applies when:
- when there is a risk of disruption and/or interruption of the operation of such assets, which may lead to emergencies or disruptions in heat, power, electricity, water supply, wastewater disposal, or natural gas supply;
- if there is a risk of interruption of the operation of enterprises, institutions, and organisations of the military-industrial complex and/or the aircraft industry that own such assets.
The Lviv Insulator Plant is a unique enterprise – the only manufacturer of glass insulators in Ukraine that are critical for the functioning of the energy infrastructure. "The plant's activities are highly specific and extremely important, as the company is the only Ukrainian manufacturer of glass insulators used on power lines with a voltage in the range of 0.4-1150 kV. Additionally, the company exports its products to more than 30 countries (including neighbouring countries, as well as Finland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Lebanon, Vietnam, Chile, and Colombia)," the Agency stated in its press release in late December.
According to the ARMA, the benefits of transferring the asset to the state-owned company include ensuring energy security, guaranteeing 95% of the state budget's monthly revenue, and preserving the company's production potential.
