Specifically, the company is planning to launch one of the first aggregated groups in Ukraine that will offer services for operational and commercial management of distributed generation facilities. These services will include load planning, dispatching, electricity purchase and sale, and optimisation of imbalances.
This was announced by Vitaliy Butenko, CEO of the company, during the presentation of the concept of the national distributed generation operator at the ReBuild Ukraine 2024 Conference in Warsaw.
According to him, Ukraine's transition to distributed generation faces several challenges, including complex technical issues, complicated legal and regulatory procedures, a lack of expertise in the energy market, and a significant depletion of qualified human resources needed to develop, operate, and commercialise distributed generation projects. Besides, the emergence of numerous new entrants to the Ukrainian energy market poses challenges to the system's balance and stability.
