DTEK Grids specialists repair damaged networks immediately after receiving official clearance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service.
Results of restoration efforts by region:
-
Donetsk region: despite the extremely difficult security situation and ongoing hostilities, energy workers conducted extensive equipment repairs, bringing electricity back to 391.3 thousand homes.
-
Dnipro region: amid regular shelling and infrastructure damage, DSO specialists restored power to 86.2 thousand families.
-
Odesa region: while the region's energy system remains targeted by the enemy, workers successfully reconnected 32 thousand households to the grid last week.
-
Kyiv region: the aftermath of air attacks was resolved, restoring power supply to over 3 thousand consumers.
"The enemy continues to attack our energy system. Despite massive destruction, security challenges, and fatigue, we keep working and restoring electricity. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have brought light back to over 44.9 million families in the Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Donetsk regions, as well as the city of Kyiv. In some settlements close to the combat zone, we have restored power dozens of times," said Alina Bondarenko, CEO of DTEK Grids.
Note: The statistics account for repeated repairs at the same facilities, as electricity in many frontline settlements has to be restored dozens of times following consecutive shelling.
