The relevant order was adopted on November 26, ExPro reports.
"To approve the candidacies of the winners of the competitive selection for the positions of members of the Supervisory Board of the private joint-stock company National Power Company Ukrenergo: Graichen Pat-rick Roland, De Francisci Luigi, Kofod Jeppe Sebastian, Montell Jan Henrik as independent members," the order says.
Approved candidates:
- Patrick Graichen, formerly head of the German think tank Agora Energiewende, was State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection in Germany in 2021-2023;
- Luigi de Francisci, previously served on Ukrenergo's Supervisory Board, former top manager of the Italian energy company Terna;
- Jeppe Kofod, a Danish politician, was the Deputy Head of the Delegation for Relations with the United States and a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. He is also a former member of the European Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. As Foreign Minister, he visited Ukraine three times during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
- Jan Montell, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nord Pool AS and Fingrid Datahub Oy, Chair-man of the Board of Directors of Skarta Energy.
As previously reported in ExPro, in October 2024, a competitive selection was announced for the positions of three independent members of the Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo. The fourth independent member was simultaneously elected under a similar transparent procedure previously launched.
