Measures to promote electromobility are defined, in particular, by the National Action Plan on Renewable Energy till 2030, the National Energy and Climate Plan, and the Sustainable Development Goals till 2030.
Given the necessity of developing the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles due to their increasing numbers on Ukraine’s roads, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine created an interactive map of favourable places for the location of EV charging stations. The map was compiled taking into account the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/1804 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 September 2023 on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure and repealing Directive 2014/94/EU.
As noted by the Ministry of Energy, this tool will help optimize the development of the EV charging infrastructure network, particularly on international highways where charging stations are absent on sections of 40 km or more.

The map was created in cooperation with distribution system operators and electromobility experts. It includes data on the most favourable locations, including available capacity, for deploying new EV charging complexes or installing new charging stations.
