We are talking about the Order of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, the head of the work on elimination of the consequences of the state-level military emergency in the electric power systems dated 12.27.2024 No. 27-dsk, which is referred to by the Ukrainian Energy Exchange and the Market Operator.
On the evening of December 30, Market Operator JSC restricted access to all information on trading in the day-ahead and intraday markets. Subsequently, on December 31, access to hourly prices in these segments was restored, but the trading volumes remain closed.
Also, access to auction bulletins and weighted average price bulletins was closed at the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.
Thus, electricity market participants will not be able to assess the current situation and build trading strategies, and this creates additional risks for manipulation and does not comply with the principles of integrity and transparency in the wholesale energy market.
