It is noted that a land management project has already been developed to locate the company behind the Zavokzallia industrial zone – between two former asphalt plants and the territory allocated to Knauf. This issue will be considered at the City Council session to be held on January 23.
The plant will recycle waste and produce biomethane. It will also engage in deep waste sorting to separate out resource-rich materials such as scrap metal, glass, and plastic, according to a statement from Fastiv City Council.
To build the plant, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and the Fastiv City Council signed the relevant agreements.
In September 2024, Ukrainian biomethane producers were able to sell the resource to Europe: the procedure for customs clearance of biomethane exports came into force.
