The allocation procedure was successfully concluded by the terminal operator, KN Energies. Naftogaz became one of five participants granted the right to long-term use of the terminal's infrastructure. Equinor, Ignitis, Latvenergo, and Gasum also booked respective volumes.
For Ukraine, this marks a significant step toward diversifying the sources and routes of natural gas supply, as well as strengthening the state's energy security.
Previously, Naftogaz conducted similar operations in cooperation with international companies. Direct capacity booking opens up new opportunities for Naftogaz in long-term supply planning and operations within the global liquefied natural gas market.

Such decisions are of strategic importance for Ukraine's energy security, expanding our access to the global LNG market and strengthening the long-term resilience of our gas supply. Booking long-term capacities at the Klaipėda LNG terminal is part of Naftogaz Group's systematic efforts to expand access to alternative natural gas supply sources and reinforce Ukraine's energy resilience amid the ongoing war.
