According to the NPC’s statement, "a potential candidate should apply with a curriculum vitae (CV) (in Ukrainian and English), consent to the processing of personal information, two written recommendation letters, a motivation letter for performing the functions of a Chairman of the Management Board." The relevant documents must be submitted in Ukrainian and English. It is noted that the applicant is responsible for any inaccuracy of the submitted documents.

Details of the competition
Candidates' professional experience should include one or more of the following options:
- Candidates should have more than 7 years of transformational leadership experience in the senior management roles (Supervisory Board, CEO and C-Level or Partner-level) in such industries as:
• Electricity or Gas TSO, Energy Generation & Distribution, Oil & Gas Upstream \ Midstream \ Downstream – will be considered as advantage.
• Large industrial companies that manufacture or process products, preferably in export-oriented markets and capital-intensive industries such as Infrastructure, Mining & Metals, Aerospace & Defence, Machine-building, Process industries, etc.
• Global audit and management consulting firms (Big4, Big3) with strategy design, corporate restructuring and change management experience.
- Experience in capital investments and corporate finance for the renewal and modernisation of production facilities.
- Experience in managing the operation and maintenance of power equipment, as well as recovery and repair of production facilities.
- Proven track record of successful interaction with regulators, relevant ministries, government and international partners, particularly in the energy sector
- Experience in supporting restructurings and crisis management related to efficiency improvements, corporate restructuring, or business model changes.
- Ability to manage a complex system of stakeholders, including actors at the regional, national, and international level
- Proven track record in designing and implementing change management strategies, with a focus on driving operational efficiency, process optimisation, and cultural transformation across various business functions.
About the management of Ukrenergo
As previously reported by ExPro, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi was dismissed from the position of the Chairman of the Board of the NPC Ukrenergo in early September 2024.
In December 2024, the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian transmission system operator was re-elected: Jeppe Kofod, a Danish politician (also, a former Member of the European Parliament and a former Foreign Minister of Denmark) became the Chairman of the newly appointed Supervisory Board.
