NEURC improved requirements for disclosure of inside information

It is noted that the new changes provide for:
- establishing an exemplary (non-exhaustive) list of inside information;
- clarifying the capacity of power units subject to inside information disclosure requirements;
- clarifying the grounds for exemption from disclosure of inside information;
- establishing requirements for the method of notification of exemption from disclosure of inside information;
- identifying factors to assess the possibility of a significant impact on energy prices.
For reference: REMIT (Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency) is a set of European rules and practices aimed at preventing abuse in wholesale energy markets and providing for liability for manipulation of wholesale energy market participants.
On June 10, 2023, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Prevention of Abuse in Wholesale Energy Markets".
The Law implements EU Regulation No. 1227/2011 on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT), a set of European rules and practices aimed at preventing abuse in the energy market, into national legislation.
As reported by Ukrainian Energy, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission plans to change water tariffs for non-household consumers. For the population, tariffs for centralised water supply and sewerage remain at the level of February 24, 2022.
The Cabinet of Ministers has set the dates for "green" auctions in 2025. There will be four auctions in total.
