"We are talking about repairing electrical equipment of different voltages, clearing the routes of overhead power lines (OHL) of all voltage classes, taking emergency measures to prepare for work in the autumn-winter period and in case of emergencies," the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate of Ukraine (DerzhEnergoNagliad) said on Wednesday.
According to the Inspectorate’s information received from DSOs, last year more than 29 thousand km of OHLs were repaired in Ukraine, about 47 thousand km of OHLs were cleared, and 65 km of lightning protection cable were replaced. A number of substations, transformer substations and electrical equipment were also repaired.
