As DTEK clarified, the day-night meter records the amount of electricity consumed separately during the day and at night, so using electrical appliances from 23:00 to 7:00 becomes 50% cheaper due to the night tariff. To ensure that consumers do not waste time on additional meter settings, DTEK Grids offers a comprehensive service: removal of the old meter and installation of a new one, sealing and parameterisation.
In 2024, DTEK Grids transferred all stages of ordering the day-night meter service online.
"DTEK Energy provides a closed cycle of electricity generation from coal. As of January 2022, the company's installed capacity in thermal generation amounted to 13.3 GW. The company has established a full production cycle in coal mining: coal mining and enrichment, mechanical engineering and maintenance of mine equipment.
Currently, most of DTEK Group's thermal generation facilities have been destroyed as a result of Russian attacks.
More than 29 thousand DTEK subscribers installed day-night meters in 2024

Over the past year, more than 29,000 families in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv, installed day-night meters in their homes, which is 58% more than in 2023.
