Electricity consumption is rising across Ukraine due to higher temperatures and the widespread use of air conditioners in several regions. At the same time, enemy strikes on infrastructure have left the Sumy region facing the most critical situation.

As of 9:30 AM on July 30, power usage was 1.9% higher than at the same time the previous day. On July 29, the daily peak consumption recorded in the evening also rose by 1% compared to Tuesday.

Following Russian attacks on energy facilities, emergency blackouts have been introduced in the city of Sumy and surrounding communities. Restrictions will be lifted as soon as emergency repair work is completed. Additionally, new power outages were recorded this morning in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, and Cherkasy regions.

Power grid operators urge consumers to use electricity rationally and shift the operation of high-power appliances to between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, when industrial solar power plants operate at peak efficiency.
