According to the company, the equipment sustained significant destruction, and the consequences are still being clarified.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. The enterprise has been idle since the beginning of the year due to a suspended special extraction permit.
The company emphasizes once again that it is ready to begin restoring the facility, but this depends on the decision of the authorities regarding the unblocking of licenses.
As reported by ExPro, Smart Holding paid 41% less in taxes over 9 months due to the halt in gas production.
As a reminder, the companies of the Smart Energy group – "Ukrgazvydobutok" and "Prom-Energo Product" – did not operate for almost a year and a half (April 2023 – June 2024) due to the state's forced suspension of special permits for hydrocarbon extraction.
In the summer of 2024, Smart Energy companies resumed operations, but by order of the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine No. 535 dated November 15, 2024, the operation of three special permits for hydrocarbon extraction was again suspended.
In January 2025, the Smart Energy group again stopped the work of "Regal Petroleum Corporation Limited" and announced the threat of losing its most productive well.
