The dispute arose from a January 2022 contract for capital repairs of oil and gas wells. ExPro reports this, citing materials from the judicial register.
According to the case files, UGV identified excessive charges in the certificates of completion related to "technological standby" time. BEK Technics had billed 49.5 hours for drill pipe flaw detection and other equipment inspections as billable standby time. However, under the terms of the contract, the contractor is required to maintain its own equipment and conduct technical inspections exclusively at its own expense.
The court confirmed that technical maintenance of the contractor's equipment does not qualify as technological standby time payable by the customer. Since the company ignored the initial request for a voluntary refund, the court ordered the recovery of UAH 330.1 thousand from BEK Technics, plus UAH 4 thousand in court fees.
As a reminder, LLC BEK Technics is currently in the liquidation stage of its bankruptcy process.
