According to S. Koretskyi, it is a pilot project to launch a flow-diverting method of enhanced oil recovery at two injection wells.
"Currently, 24 fields of the company are operated with reservoir pressure maintenance. And the use of flow-diverting methods makes it possible to increase oil production," the Ukrnafta’s CEO said.
The pilot project resulted in an 18% to 21% increase in oil production from the reacting wells. This is an additional production of 2,140 tonnes of oil in 232 days at the first site and 502 tonnes of oil in 106 days at the second site.
Two more well operations are planned by the end of the year. Next year, another 28 are planned, Ukrnafta reports.
As enkorr wrote earlier, Ukrnafta has launched a 4,520 m deep well, the deepest in the last 8 years.
The publication also reported that Ukrnafta plans to drill about 30 new wells in 2025, as well as workovers, equipment upgrades, and production stimulation.
