According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the company's press service.
"We have already drilled almost 300 metres. The well is planned as an exploration well. The total depth is 1,534 metres," the statement said.
The works are being carried out by the contractor – the drilling company "Horyzonty", which won the relevant open bidding on the public procurement platform Prozorro.
It is noted that at a depth of 1.2 km, the well should uncover the sole of the Stryian deposits, which is 1.26 million tonnes of oil reserves. At a depth of 1.3 km, there are menilite deposits – 162 thousand tonnes. Ukrnafta expects to produce the first oil from the well by the end of this year.
As reported, Ukrnafta is planning to drill about 30 new wells in 2025. The company places great emphasis on upgrading equipment and improving energy efficiency: modernising compressor stations, installing booster stations and modular equipment for hydrocarbon preparation and metering.
