Dispatching centers are where power engineers monitor the state of the grids 24/7, record accidents, and coordinate repair crews. Therefore, uninterrupted power supply to such facilities is critical for the energy security of the region.
How the Autonomous System Works
Before the onset of winter, a complex was installed at the facility where the SPP generates energy for the center's own needs, while the BESS accumulates the surplus. This creates a reliable reserve in case of system deficits or technical damage to infrastructure.
The effectiveness of this solution was proven in practice: the dispatching center continued to operate without any failures even during a large-scale technological disruption in the integrated power system on January 31, when a blackout occurred in Ukraine. In addition to autonomy, such a system helps reduce the load on the general grid during peak consumption hours.
Innovation for Resilience
