According to power grid operators, as of the morning of July 29, electricity consumption was 11.1% lower than at the same time on the previous day. The main reason is clear weather across most of Ukraine, which boosts the efficiency of household solar power plants and reduces load on the main grid.
A positive trend was also observed the day before: the daily peak consumption on July 28 occurred in the evening, but it was 5.3% lower than Monday's peak due to lower temperatures and reduced use of air conditioners.
Given the sunny weather, consumers are advised to shift the use of energy-intensive appliances to the period between 10:00 and 16:00, when generation from commercial solar power plants is at its peak.
At the same time, local damage remains on the grid:

Due to enemy shelling, consumers in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions remain without power as of this morning. Emergency restoration work is underway wherever safety conditions permit.

Due to severe thunderstorms and wind gusts, over 30 settlements in Kyiv, Zakarpattia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions were left fully or partially without electricity. Repair crews are working to restore the lines.
Specialists urge people to use electricity wisely and remind the public that the situation in the power system can change quickly.
